Refund policy
At OakBindery, every piece is carefully handcrafted and personalized specific to your order. Because of the custom nature of our products, all sales are final. With the exception of items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect (as detailed below), we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once the production process has begun.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception. We take great pride in our craftsmanship and packaging, but we understand that things can happen during transit. Contact us at hello@oakbindery.com within 7 days of delivery if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item (e.g., incorrect engraving or specifications). Please include clear photos of the item and the packaging in your email so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right through remaking the item or a refund.
Exceptions / Non-returnable Items
As all our products are custom-made and personalized to your specific requirements, they cannot be resold. Therefore, they are strictly non-returnable. This includes all personalized items, special orders, and custom designs. Additionally, because each item is made to order, we do not hold standard inventory and cannot process any form of item swaps.
European Union Right of Withdrawal Exemption
If your merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, please note that the standard 14-day cooling-off period (Right of Withdrawal) does not apply. Under EU consumer protection laws, the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized is strictly exempt from the right of withdrawal. As all OakBindery products are custom-made, all sales to the EU are final.
Refunds (for damaged or incorrect items only)
If a refund is approved due to a defect or an error on our part, we will notify you and you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your refund, please contact us at hello@oakbindery.com.
